ONTARIO TOURISM 2013 THUNDER BAY WINTER SHOOT

Located in Vermilion Bay, Ontario Borealis Dog Sled Adventures has been guiding adventure minded people through the winter wilderness since 1989.

His family care for the dogs like they are part of their family.  Thirty five years of mushing have taken him and his dogs from Northwestern Ontario all the way to the arctic.

“The dog’s energy and enthusiasm for the winter trail is what keeps me going”

This is truly a unique bush experience and is like none other. Travelling ancient  trap lines, respecting the beauty of the land and the exhilaration of 40+ huskies are just a few of the many things to look forward too.

Travel the ancient routes of Ojibway hunters and trappers learning to harness, drive and care for a dog team as you experience the landscape  and wildlife of the winter wilderness. Your guide will share with you the knowledge of living and enjoying an unplugged world, free from modern distractions. The only signs you will see here, are those left by the wild inhabitants of the Boreal Forest.

“Creation always speaks, even when we are not listening.”
